Summer Events in Zaton and Nin in 2017
With amazing beach, lovely Mediterranean greenery and a variety of activities available, Zaton Holiday Resort easily fulfills a dream of a great holiday. To heat up the summer even more, different events will be held at the resort and the nearby town of Nin. Here’s what awaits you…
In June…
Enjoy a game of mini golf with Grand Prix at Zaton Holiday Resort, to be held from June 3-4. A few days later, bubble up with joy when you get the chance to participate in the foam party at the pool! With music and animation programme it’s great fun for everyone. Similarly, both children and their parents will be delighted with the carnival party a week afterwards. Take part in the interactive games and have a great carnival time in the summer!
In addition, Nin celebrates the first day of spring with the Festival of Sun and Light in the Church of the Holy Cross. Visitors get the chance to witness a wonderful play of light, since this unique church used to serve as a calendar and sundial.
In July…
Your teens and twens will open another joyful month with the Silent Disco in Zaton. They will adore their headphones with three different DJ sets to choose from. Then, carnival fun also continues in July with two parties, to be held two weeks apart. Also, the pool is the place to have a great time all day round and even more so when there is a Pool Party with a special programme to keep the guests in high spirits. Two such parties will be held, mid and end of July.
Fans of meat delicacies will be thrilled to know that Šokol Festival takes place mid July in Nin. It celebrates traditional food, in particular šokol - dried pork product.
In August…
The good times continue with carnival and pool parties to mark the beginning and the end of the month, as well as with the Silent Disco in the middle of the month. But that’s not nearly all. On August 13 you’ll have stars in your eyes by enjoying the natural phenomenon, so-called tears of St Lawrence, and have a wonderful time at the beach. Just have your sparklers ready for the event Under the Stars! The day after will be one of the most fun sporty days of the season with Summer Games. Fun is guaranteed with bubble soccer, surf simulator and gladiators. Two days later all guests will have a chance to participate in this year’s Guinness attempt to make the resort’s logo.
The summer excitement keeps going on in Nin, too. The town, famous for traditional salt production, pays tribute to this essential ingredient with Festival of Salt on August 3. Nine days later visitors can admire unique creations made of sand at Sand Festival on famous Queen’s Beach. Known as one of the most romantic destinations, Nin also dedicates August 19 to love with the Night of the Romance. It’s the perfect opportunity for lovebirds to display their affection for one another.
In September...
It’s all about sports. With two mini golf competitions (World Adventure Golf Masters, September 11-12 and World Minigolf Championship General Class, September 20-23) as well as a light race Run for Tomorrow, guests and fans of sports will have a field day at Zaton Holiday Resort.
