Farewell to Summer Season 2016
As days are slowly becoming shorter, sunrays are losing their warmth and the first raindrops have already shyly come to visit, we nostalgically look back at the season behind us. With exceptional weather, enthusiastic guests and exciting activities, it’s been one extraordinary season, which you have also helped to create. So, take a look at the highlights, read our 2016 story and always remember the amazing Zaton moments, which you’ll surely want to repeat the year to come.
1. Breaking records
This season a record number of guests chose Zaton Holiday Resort as their holiday destination. With home-like accommodation, relaxed ambiance, a great number of fun and sports activities, they had a dream holiday, which they’ll hopefully relive again next year.
Last year we showed the world how to smile, this year we tried to be faster, higher, stronger. In other words, this year’s attempt to break the Guinness record for the largest crowd logo created in water resulted in Olympic circles on display in Zaton. It was a fun Olympic day at our resort. One out of many.
2. All about sports
The Olympic Games are special in the way they bring the world together like nothing else does and this only happens every four years. For that reason, Zaton Holiday Resort made sure guests had a touch of Brazilian Olympic Games on their holiday and not only on TV by organizing a series of activities and events for a unique Zaton Olympic Experience.
Before that, fans of football had the chance to cheer on their national teams during the European Football Championship in June and July. After all, we simply wanted our guests to enjoy the most important secondary thing in the world, no matter where they were.
To round off a very sporty summer, we decided to hold the first marathon in Zaton. Yes, a marathon. Although it did not have 42 km, but a bit less than 2, and it involved some ecology-friendly action along the way, it was all about participation, but that is in fact one of the most important things in sport. With interesting prizes and participants of all age groups, the Zaton Eco Marathon race is very likely to become another exciting tradition guests will love to take part in.
3. Camping with a dash of glamour
For many years Zaton Holiday Resort has been one of the most favourite campgrounds in Croatia. This year we have taken camping a step further by introducing our glamping tents, which are among the first ones in Dalmatia. With excellent facilities and camping pitches, mobile homes and glamping tents, camping experience in Zaton has never been better.
Eyes on 2017
Our highlights are only the tips of an iceberg. Every personal and happy moment you had in Zaton is what makes the season 2016 so much more wonderful, more exciting, more memorable, simply better. And as we start to look forward to the year ahead of us and hope it may be at least as exciting and unforgettable as this one, just remember that tans may fade, but great memories last forever.
