A Checklist for a Family Camping in Zaton

A Checklist for a Family Camping in Zaton

Picture yourself in a hammock, looking up at the branches of the tall pine trees and the clear blue sky. Or as you are having an evening snack and a nightcap under the starry sky. Remember how good it feels to be in nature with the people you care about the most. Then start the countdown to your next holiday in the fabulous campsite at Zaton Holiday Resort and prepare a list of things to do and bring along for a great holiday:

1. Check your camping gear

Put up your tent in your garden, to check if everything is all right or if there is anything that needs fixing. It’s also a great opportunity to show your kids or remind them about how much fun awaits them on your camping holiday.

Likewise, if you plan to travel with a caravan trailer or motor-caravan, make sure it is fully prepared for the trip. Also note that Zaton Holiday Resort is about to introduce motor-caravan service station, which means you can discharge waste water and re-fill your tanks with fresh water directly at the resort.

2. Items for comfortable sleeping and chillin’

Take a cosy hammock where you love to listen to your favourite music. Or a camping lounger to sit back in and read a book in the refreshing shade of pine trees. Why not also bring along an air mattress for your kids’ afternoon nap? Most importantly, make sure your sleeping bags, mattresses and pillows feel like heaven.

3. Every piece of kitchenware… or not

Are you more up for the simplest camping meals or do you plan to cook elaborate dishes? Maybe you don’t want to cook at all! After all, at Zaton Holiday Resort you can opt for half-board. What kind of food do your kids like? Once you answer these questions, you’ll know how much gear you need. Or will you?

At the resort, you can rent a fridge and use available stoves and grill. In other words, you don’t need to bring all of your portable cooking gear unless you prefer to have yours at hand. Naturally, you need pots & pans, plates & cutlery, cups & glasses. When it comes to small everyday kitchen items such as garbage bags, foil, paper towels, dish soap and sponge, you can easily get them at the supermarket on the spot, if you prefer not to overpack.

4. Just the right amount of clothes and footwear

Imagine yourself at the beach. What do you need? Swimwear & beach towels, water shoes & flip flops, hats & sunglasses. Picture yourself on a hiking trip to Paklenica or a walking tour to Nin. So, take some trainers or hiking shoes, possibly even a jacket, particularly in spring and autumn. As for everyday clothes, pack according to the number of days you spend on holiday and as you see fit. Just keep it simple, because you have laundry at your disposal at the resort.

5. All the small things …

… For a great holiday. Board games and cards. Water inflatables in all (animal) shapes and sizes. Balls and frisbees. And all the other things that make your kids smile and laugh with joy. A waterproof phone case and a device charger to be able to take photos of all the special moments. First aid kit for just in case, even though a doctor’s office is available at the resort, and a lot of sunscreen to fully enjoy the sun free of care.

Don’t forget…

… That you can forget a thing or two, because at Zaton Holiday Resort you can find all it takes for a great camping holiday with your family!
