Season 2020 in retrospective
The fall is here! Days are getting shorter, grapes are getting ripe and with October on the horizon, we will soon wish a safe journey home to our last guests of the season. Before we start the preparations for a well deserved break, the timing is just right to recall all the great moments and events that marked this extraordinary season.
So, let's look back on them while they are still fresh:
All roads lead to … the theater
Once again, our theater was the place where we sang, danced, played and acted. Thanks to our lovely entertainers, their lavish costumes and elaborate scenery, our magnificent musicals continued to take central stage at the theater.
With great deal of concern, we followed the adventures of young lion prince Simba on his path to becoming the lion king. In Underground musical, main character recounted the daily events experienced in London subway through some of the best hits of British pop music.
We danced with Zatonino, discovered multiple talents of our entertainers at the variety and cabaret shows, took part in quizzes and enjoyed the movie nights under the starry Zaton skies.
Zatonino's got a new friend
Did you know that our colorful and fluffy seahorse Zatonino met his equally colorful friend – a parrot named Rino. Besides showing up at the games and contests cheering on your kids, Zatonino was at the theater every evening to perform his famous Zatonino Dance during the mini disco. Zatonino & Rino celebrated Zatonino' s birthday on 15.08. and you could hang out with them every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Mendula pastry shop. No matter where you spotted them, these two blue and yellow bundles of fun were sure to make your kids laugh with joy!
Amazing novelties in 2020
Some traditions are never meant to be interrupted, no matter the circumstances. Following the innovative projects introduced in the previous years, we have continued with new developments in 2020.
We completely redesigned the interior of our kids club by introducing exciting new didactic toys, equipment and furniture.
Under the name “It takes time to grow”, we started the eco-project of extensive reforestation of the area that was damaged by a storm in 2019. The new linear park that was created for this purpose, invites the guests to take a moment to relax, discover the fascinating story of the forest and simply take in the beauty all around.
Last but not least, we have also completely refurbished our Beach Restaurant & Bar Mareta located on the western part of the beach by the campsite. Perfectly blended in the beach surroundings with large open space, Mareta welcomed you to excellent food prepared with fresh, seasonal and local ingredients fusing traditional and modern cuisine.

As we approach the concluding scene of the season completely aware that this was not the time to make travel decisions lightly, we are even more thankful for your visit and support, your positive reviews and well intended critics and suggestions. They will motivate and inspire us to be even better next year. Until then, make sure to cherish all the lovely #ZatonMoments and remember: the tans will fade but the memories will last forever.
