Trips to Croatia’s most visited national parks - Plitvice Lakes and Krka
Famous for their cascades, waterfalls and exceptional beauty of nature, the two national parks are absolute must-see destinations within easy reach from Zaton.
A trip to Krka is organized every Tuesday with a transfer from the campsite reception (8:00 o’clock) to the national park. Once there, visitors take a boat ride to Skradinski buk waterfall where they can have a refreshing swim before they go on to explore the upper part of the magnificent river. The trip finishes with a stop in the historical town of Šibenik, before coming back to Zaton (18:00 o’clock). The price for an adult and children over 12 is €65, with a 50% discount for children aged 5-11.
Every Thursday you can go on a trip (from 8:00 to 18:00) to Plitvice Lakes which includes walking by turquoise lakes and a boat ride over the largest one, Kozjak. Enjoy amazing nature and see cascades and waterfalls such as Veliki slap, which translates as ‘Great Waterfall’. The price for an adult and children over 12 is €80, with a 50% discount for children aged 5-11.
Sailing trips to Dugi Otok and Kornati islands
Numerous islands of all shapes and sizes, with diverse scenery including beautiful hidden coves and striking cliffs, are a true paradise for all fans of sailing.
Spend a day on Dugi Otok island! The boat sets off from the resort at 8:30 and within two hours reaches Dugi Otok, where you can swim and snorkel on a wonderful beach including the famous Sakarun beach and visit Veli rat lighthouse. The price for an adult and children over 12 is €40, with a 50% discount for children aged 6-12.
Take a sailing trip to Kornati Islands National Park! It includes two and a half hours of sailing, a lunch and a few hours to explore amazing nature on foot and the underwater world by snorkelling. The price for an adult and children over 12 is €47, with a 50% discount for children aged 5-11.
Discover wonderful nature on the mainland
From mountains to rivers and canyons, the mainland also offers a few breathtaking gems of nature to discover not far from the resort.
Go on a canoe safari down magnificent Zrmanja river, starting from the village Kaštel Žagarski at 11:00 o’clock! Paddle along the river through awe-inspiring landscape towards Krupa waterfall where you can take a break and have a swim. Then hop back to canoe and continue down the river. The price for an adult and children over 12 is €38 if you take your own car to Kaštel Žagarski, or €50 if you take the bus to get there. Children aged 5-11 get a 50% discount.
Explore Velebit mountain with an off-road safari and enjoy outstanding views! Your adventure starts at Maslenica Bridge with spectacular views of the sea. Afterwards you get to enjoy breakfast and the sight of wild horses on Velebit. At the nature park you can then admire geomorphological formations known as Tulove grede and St Francis’ Church before reaching the viewpoint overlooking Zrmanja canyon. The safari ends with a snack and a swim in Zrmanja in Muškovci village. The price for an adult and children over 12 is €65, €39 for children up to the age of 11.
